A Bond for Life!
COURTNEY & JASON will tie the knot this Saturday at the fabulous Rose Hill Plantation in Nashville.
Here is how their story begins:

How we met: Jason and I met through mutual friends when we were 15 years old at his Hobgood Academy basketball game. We exchanged numbers and two weeks later went on our first date!
Our First Date: We couldn't drive yet, so we went on a double date with friends Cody and Lauren (both in our wedding party, though not together anymore) to Deadwood. Deadwood is a restaurant/live music venue in Bear Grass, North Carolina. We all went on a Saturday night and saw a band called Switch. Our first slow dance was to Prince's "Purple Rain" hahah! :) On Sunday lunch at my Grandma's and told my mom I was going to marry that boy one day!
How he proposed: Jason proposed June 19, 2009. I had to work until 9:00pm and was starving. I called Jason on the way home to tell him how hungry I was and was actually annoyed when he told me he hadn't picked anything up for dinner (oops!) When I walked inside our condo there was flowers & a note that said "Please say yes!" on the steps. When I walked upstairs he had my favorite meal on the table and was waiting for me on one knee!
Our favorite things to do: We love going to the beach, playing golf, skiing, tailgating during ECU Football season (go Pirates!), going out to dinner and trying new foods, going out with friends.
Wedding Date: July 31, 2010
Location: Rose Hill Plantation, Nashville, North Carolina

Fabulous Spring Brides!
This Spring was jam packed with excitement from Weddings to First Friday's to launching our new Photo Contest Series!!!
My clients ROCK! You are all so stinkin' cute and I am so happy to have had the honor to be a part of this special time in your lives.
Take a peak at this FANTABULOUS E-session at Buku and The Diner with RHIAN & MATT who have an AWESOME "how he proposed story" and tied the knot on June 19th...Congratulations!!!

How We met: Matt and I met at a ski resort while we were skiing with separate groups of friends. We dated for several months before Matt moved to NC to be closer to me while I attended law school at UNC.
Our First Date: Our first date after meeting on the slopes was at a romantic restaurant in Richmond, Virginia where I was living when we met.
Our Favorite Things to Do: We love staying active; we ski, enjoy running, being outdoors, and traveling.
How he Proposed: Matt proposed while we were on vacation in Maui, Hawaii. We had been snorkeling for an hour or so and were slowly making our way back to the shore. Matt swam ahead and then waved me over to where he was and asked me to reach down and look at something. He had a little treasure chest he hid under a rock on the bottom of the ocean. Fearing I would drop the ring or it would float away, Matt put a fake ring in the box and had the real one in the hotel.
Wedding Date: June 19th
Wedding Location: Grand Cayman Island
Comment: Matt and I are so thankful we were able to meet Nancy and have her take our engagement photos! She was enthusiastic, creative, and fun!
AND NOW...for the highlights of my fabulous Brides and Grooms from Spring 2010!

Love on the Lake
Congratulations to Barb and Vern
Wedding Date: May 15, 2010
Wedding Location: Lake Wheeler
Here is a sneak peek of their engagement session!

How we met:
Six years ago, I walked into a Raleigh Concert Band rehearsal with my bassoon in hand. I barely knew how to put it together and didn’t know a soul... Turned out, he was the band president, and was an accomplished percussionist.
How we got engaged:
Our lives gradually grew together, cemented by music, good friends, volunteer work, and lots of laughter (he’s a very funny guy). And the more we learned about each other, the more we wanted to know. The more time we spent with each other, the harder it was to be apart. And now, this confirmed bachelorette of 21 years, can’t wait to put her single life behind her, share her four-footed Golden companion, and begin a new life with this singularly warm, loving, and nurturing man.
Our favorite things to do or places to go:
Bird walks (Vernon has been leading them at Lake Crabtree for over 10 years), volunteering in the Discovery Room at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (he’s been doing that for over 20 years), tagging along to his many band rehearsals and gigs, hiking in the mountains, and, of course, playing in the Raleigh Concert Band.ying in the Raleigh Concert Band.

Congratulations to Hsiupei and David!
Wedding Date: July 18th, 2009
Wedding Location: The Carolina Inn!
Here is a sneak peek of their engagement session at Duke Gardens!!!

How you met: David and I met in medical school (at Duke) in 1995. Our paths crossed through the years, because his brother Ben was in my class and was dating my roommate Anne. We didn't start dating until 2007 though, and now Anne and Ben will be my sister- and brother- in- law.
Our first date: March 10, 2007 at Elaine's in Chapel Hill.
How he proposed: We were on a trip to San Francisco. I took him by my old apartment and said what fond memories I had during my 4 years living there. He said, "Well, this is somewhere memorable then.... Do you want to get married?"
Our favorite things to do or places to go: We enjoy getting together with friends and playing boardgames. We also enjoy trying new restaurants, watching movies, playing the Wii, and cooking together.

Their Story:
By the way...These GEORGETOWN CUPCAKES were the BEST CUPCAKES ever!!!
Thank you Luann and Pong!!!
Their Story:
- How we met:- we met in college. I went to UNC and he was an NCState boy. We met through mutual friends. We ran into each other all the time at parties and we have actually met a few times before he remembered who I was, which was 2 years later. We knew of each other but never really hung out. At the time, my younger sister was my roommate.- My sister and I were at his parents' restaurant and Pong waited on us. He wrote his number on my togo box hoping I would call him. Days and weeks went by and he realized that I wouldn't call, so he worked up the courage to ask for my number. So cute "um..can I have your number?"
- Our First Date:- the first time he called me to meet up, he came by my dorm with a dog borrowed from his best friend. We sat and talked at the Old Well and was so immersed in our conversation that we didn't realize the dog got mad and peed on us. Our first date was at Miami Subs on Franklin street (when it was still opened at the time).
- Location: Outerbanks, NC
- Date and Where or How he proposed:- 9/21/08, the day after a close friend's wedding (she was the one who introduced us). He woke me up at 6 am to go watch the sunrise. I was stunned because he's not a morning person, so I made myself roll out of bed and put on a hoodie to hide my morning look. When we got to the hotel's elevator, he realized that he had forgotten to bring the ring. So he made an excuse of "needing to brush his teeth" and ran back to the room. We were sharing the room with two other close friends who knew about the proposal. While I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth, one of the friends frantically looked through his bag and clothes to find the ring. I was clueless to this until they told me later. When we got outside, the sun wasn't out yet, so he held out the ring at where the sun would come out and said "I'll make it shine for you". Haha, he's corny like that, but I love it. I didn't have my contacts on so I was squinting to see something metalic and shiny. My first words were "are you kidding me?" When I realized it was my ring, I jumped up and down laughing/crying. He then got on his knee and said a bunch of sweet stuff, but all I can remember is "I love you and will you marry me?" It was so perfect because I got to share the news with all of my close friends since they were all there for the wedding.
- Our favorite things to do or places to go:- In our prime, we used to go dancing a lot, but now that we are older, we like to travel to different cities and trying out local foods. We really enjoy making brunch for ourselves, friends, and family. Pong helps out at his parents' restaurant on the weekend eversince we first met, and still does. Whenever I am back in town, I would hang out in the back while he works, and at the end of the night, we would sit down with his family to have dinner and chat at the back room of the restaurant. I just love it because it reminds me of how lucky I am. NOt only is he a wonderful friend, he is also an amazing son and brother.
- Wedding Date: Sunday 8/23/09
- Location: Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina
